Let me start this on going review by saying Rick at reef radiance is the man!!!

I needed a fixture that can handle a SPS tank. Rick built a custom layout for me and sent out a temp unit until my built unit got delivered to me. I received the temp unit with no problems and it looks great over my tank. If you need help or a specific question in your build give Rick a call.

about time to update this thread.

again i wanted to thank rick for his company's customer service. i have had the coral pro 180 now for a good month. Beofre this i had 2 kessil 350's over my 93G cube. Needless to say nothing grew...... i never knew why other people were getting a good 1 inch ish a month and i had none. some coral were just alive. my water parameters were perfect for a sps tank. before giving up on leds and going to MH i thought i would give reef radiance a chance. i called rick personally and he made a custom layout for what i wanted,which was max growth.

about a month later my unit came in everything was packed perfectly...

and mounted

i wanted to give the lights a month before writing the review and all i can say is WOW. this unit is over a 93G cube!!!! it's growing everything inside. i put a fresh cut frag on a plug and with 2 weeks it fully encrusted the plug. every single polyp on every coral is always out. i think its the 20+ uv leds i had put on LOL they love that stuff. anyway here are some videos and pics

Again this is 1 unit over a 93G and it rocks!!! i have it more than a foot away with growth anywhere in the tank. i still cant see how anyone throws their money at those so called "american units" with 3 times the price tag but it is what it is. Thanks again rick.

just a quick update- one of my leds were dimmer than the rest. i contacted rick and he had them shipped out in no time free of charge. cant be that.

that is the Lumentek 180, correct ?

do you mind sharing what you changed in the LED layout, in case someone else might want to duplicate it

i do know that instead of the 4 410-450 that come with it i had rick put about 20 in i think. he made the light just for maximum sps growth and it is no joke.....

I do email support for a larger insurance CO.. I sent Rick several emails and with in a few hours (yes even at 9:00 PM I got a response) Thats important to em thats what I bought from the.. Can't wait to gt them.
