I'm having a frag of Reef Raft Pink Floyd picked up on Saturday and was wondering what kind of lighting and flow this piece will like. Basically high, mid, or low in my tank.

Also, post your pics if you have them

Hmm...I don't think it's going to like the flow in your tank...or the lighting...better send it to me. heh heh heh

JK Great score! Wish I could weigh in on it's best care, but I haven't had that privilege yet... maybe one day...

I keep mine up high and in decent flow. It seems very happy :D.

Thanks my plan was to put it up high after a couple weeks of acclamation but I have a couple SPS corals that like the low light so I was not sure where this one would like to go.

I would recommend starting It out low to acclimate to the lighting. What lighting are you using? Do you live in Lubbock?

Right now I have an aquatic life dual halide fixture with two T-5s. I plan on upgrading to more powerful halides with LED supplement. I have a bunch of SPS in my tank and they are growing great right now but still want an upgrade.

Yes I live in Lubbock

It doesn't need to be right in front of it just make sure its getting good flow. It takes awhile to start branching out mine encrusted alot before it went up.

Thanks for the tip. How long have you had yours and is it a fast grower

I also live in Lubbock maybe we can talk sometime.

I have had mine less than a year. Probably around 9-10 months. I bought from a fellow reef2reef member. As for growth I wouldn' t say its a fast grower probably an average grower in my system. Its in a 120 gallon sps dominate with an 8 bulb Ati sunpower.
