Reef Raft Purple Prism before and after

Well I started getting back into SPS the past couple months... I took this colony of the RR purple prism as a project to see if I can still grow SPS... LOL... It was bleached out and not doing to well

Thats a great before and after.I think its safe to say you can still grow sps.nice chalices aswell
 
Awesome recovery....so what is the backstory??? Somebody bought a RR piece...grew it into a huge colony and then....
 
Yea I swore a few years ago that I would never do SPS but I couldn't help myself...LOL
i said the same time about a year ago and new my tank is almost all sps.i think stick corals are the most gratifying corals to grow.

This piece was from Aqua SD from Reef Raft.. I believe TGC got in the shipment from RR...... It had 2 frags cut off of it and then started to bleach. It was pretty bad but I saw that it still had some polyp extension and I threw out an offer for the colony. He took it so here it is today...LOL
