Watching a NOVA episode on PBS called Reef Rescue. Interesting discussion of "super corals" and coral farming operations. Quite fascinating.

Never understood how you can grow coral frags in the ocean not far from where reefs are stressing. Its the same water.

I love NOVA. Humans have been selectively reproducing plants and animals for desirable traits for centuries. It would be neat if those types of farming techniques could be applied to corals or possibly genetic modification to solve current issues.
