reef rock

My girlfirend's friend broke down their reef tank and gave me the rock. its all dried and stuff, am i able to still use in my reef tank if i were to soak it for a few weeks?

Yup! Might want to look into muriatic acid baths as well if you think it might be compromised.

I would, personally, just throw it in a bucket with a powerhead and heater and wait until a cycle is over. Maybe throw in a small piece of seed rock from your tank.

I'd go ahead and muriatic acid bath the rock. It is really quite easy, just get some from Home Depot, add it per instructions to the rock and water in the container you're using (outside). Cleans all the pores inside the rock which makes the rock more effective.
You are definitely able to use it, just clean it first.
