Hey guys question being a new to saltwater I was given about 65 lb of dry rock from a friend it was previously used how would I go about cleaning it so I can use it

Powerwasher(or hose with nozzle if dont have one) is great for getting any detritus/old algae off.

After that i would just let soak in rodi water. Then replace with saltwater and start curing it.
 
Okay I've been doing that for the last two day but it has a really bad smell to it
It will take a while for any organic material stuck to it to break down and decompose. I would put it in saltwater with a powerhead (in a brute garbage can or plastic tote, with a lid) and then do water change every couple weeks until it no longer smells (it’ll probably have a faint oceany smell, but not a rotten fish smell) and the water is clear.
