Reef Roids for a torch?

Try both, see what it responds to better. Since it has larger polyps, it might prefer larger foods? But neither one will hurt it, so it's worth a shot.

Got a new torch yesterday, am I okay to be feeding it reef roids or should I just feed it mysis?
Either, both.

If you're only feeding RR, it takes a long time for them to mucus up, then suck it all back in so be prepared to have the flow off for 20 minutes after feeding. If you turn it on early, the mucus and food will just float off.

Of course! I bought them mainly for my new Zoa’s but thought it wouldn’t hurt to feed the torch with them. Maybe a mix of those and mysis then, I heard roids really he’ll the colours pop and growth so wanted to mix them in there somewhere.

If you haven’t been warned, I’d add that you could sparingly feed ReefRoids. My creatures definitely love them, but it comes at the cost of high phosphates if you feed regularly. I’ve noticed a difference in growth, but not so much color.

No I’ve not been told about the increase in phosphates. I only planned on feeding twice a week with roids. Would it be a noticeable change I should look to water change out or will my GFO handle it?

The only way to tell what it'll do in your tank is to try it. The best way to feed the Roids is to mix a bit of them with a small amount of water, then target-feed your various corals with the pumps off. Don't scatter it loose in the tank unless you want, just, tons of phosphates.

That’s a good plan. GFO should handle it, but wouldn’t hurt to test for the first two weeks to make sure.

Tired made perfect recommendation.
