Reef roids for zoas and pallys

I have a Zoa Pally Dominate tank with some other soft corals. and i target feed small amouts of reef roids every day. I read that when they close up it is becuase they are being defensive and not actuly eatting. Is that true? I have no fish in this tank so i feel like i have to make up with daily feedings of the roids and becuase i want them to grow as fast as possible. Any Tips for using reef roids? Is 1/2 tea spoon a day too much with a tank with no fish and 10 turbo snails, and 10 hermits. Thanks for your input

They will close up if bothered or if they catch food. They will benefit from feeding as you have few other food sources. How large a system. I would think that 1/2tsp is a lot, but matters how large and how many you have.

Its a 75 gallon with 7 Zoas frags and maybe some pallys but i cant tell. 3 mushroom frag, Kenya tree and GSP. I use a syringe to target feed with the pumps off. I only mix it with a oz of water to make it more concentrated

You can get away with less than that and be good. However, if it is not throwing anything out of whack like algae growth or nitrates, keep it up.

Parameters have been all good. i was expecting a increas in Phosphate but it has not happend yet. maybe bc i have no fish and just started the reef roids a short time ago
