I use both ,, I use the pellets on corals like acans ,, bowers ,, I use reef roids on corals like chalices ,, favias ,, I also use the coke bottle trick when feeding all of them ,, keeps the fish from being a problem when feeding ,, they are both top of the line coral foods ,, can't go wrong with either ,,

The coke bottle trick?

I cut the top off of a liter coke bottle ,, sit it over the top of the coral ,, slide a syringe of Reef Roids thru the cap section of the bottle ,, squirt a bit of coral food onto the coral ,, let the coral eat ,, remove bottle and onto the next coral ,, or just put a few pellets onto the coral ,, place the bottle top over the coral and let it eat ,, keep the fish and crabs away from it while it eats ,, I switch up the foods also ,, a chalice will eat the pellets ,, just takes awhile ,,

I guessed this would be roughly the idea but thanks for clarifying! I'm intending on using a little pipette to target feed my future corals, just so I can make sure each head gets their share! I find feeding my fish really relaxing and fun, far from a chore, and I think this will be the same

Have you seen the Ocean Nutrition Reef Pulse, I switched from reef roids to this?

I am using Reef Roids for 3 years and sticking to it. Coral like it. I tried Benapets food as it's supposed to be better, twice the cost, and I am not a fan. Not only do I not see improvement, there's 0 support from the company. So what I learned, if it works, why change it. Sticking to Roids for another 3 years. :)

I haven't but I'll have a look into it! I've seen a lot of good things about reef Roids but I like the format and consistency of min s so I'm undecided

I'll chalk that down as a vote for RR!

If you're going to get reef roids also get polyp booster! You will not regret it! :)

I like and currently use reef roids but there are lots of very similar products like zoplan and others I have used over the years. All pretty much dried plankton, amino's and vitamins. I do mix it up now and then.

I bought a bottle of this ,, have a bottle of this ,, used it once ,, haven't used again ,, I am not going to sit here and say its not any good because I really don't know ,, I only used it once , can't tell anything by using something only one time ,, the way I understand it ,, and I may be be wrong ,, most likely am :) Polyp Booster is to help get the coral ready or getting the coral to want to eat ,,

My view on this ,, its a product by the company to get us to spend more money ,, nothing wrong with that ,, if the product is doing something that I feel the coral is getting a benefit from ,, without it ,, my coral would be missing out on something ,, if I put Reef Roids onto my coral ,, Chalice ,, Acan ,, Blasto ,, Bower ,, the coral is going to eat ,, can't eat fast enough :) my corals don't need convincing they need something to make them want to eat RR ,, I just don't like adding stuff to my system ,, unless I see a benefit that I wouldn't be getting if I didn't add it ,,

I would rather spend my money buying Amino Acids for my corals ,, instead of on a product to convince my corals to eat ,, when they are going to want to eat anyway ,, JMO ,, feel free to disagree with me ,, and tell me why I am wrong ,, and why I need to be using this stuff ,,

I'm going to be using it to feed acans, zoas, candy canes and mushrooms. When I add sps I'll be feeding them ab+

My understanding is Polyp Booster is not a food ,,, its something to tell your corals food is coming ,, put your polyps out and get ready to eat :) my corals don't need to be told this ,, they will eat as soon as I drop RR onto them ,,

I found an interesting study, the commercials food sale roids..not seems to works well..
