As the titel says, can I use reef roids with FM coral balance? Or are they the same things? And if i had to choose, which one?

I believe coral balance is some sort of "marine snow" product in which case using it and reef roids at the same time isn't going to cause them to conflict with each other, nor provide any additional benefit. I would use the coral balance at night and just broadcast it with the outflow of your return pump.
They're not the same thing, reef roids is essentially freeze-dried plankton. I personally just feed reef roids and use two little fishies marine snow if I think I need a marine snow product, which isn't often because I haven't used it in a couple of months.
