How long does everyone leave there pumps off when feeding reef roids or oyster feast? Just curious how long i should give my corals to feed before restarting the circulation.

Thanks,
Mark

I am not sure what the proper time is, but I leave my powerheads off for about 20 minutes. I leave the return pump on to circulate the food around the tank.

I have my pumps and return off for 10 then a very slow circulation with powerheads for another 30. Then normal powerhead and return modes, I keep the skimmer off for 90 minutes after feeding corals. Reef Roids also does and excellent job of feeding pods. My pod population exploded when I started feeding it.

I spot feed most of my corals so I turn my powerhead back on about 5 minutes after I feed the last coral.

I turn off my return pump since I don't want that washing into the sump. I leave the power head on and put a little reef roids in the tank to get a feeding response. 5 minutes later I hit feed mode on the gyre and spot feed across the tank then the power head comes back on and I let it run for about 20-30 minutes before turning the return back on.
