Reef Roids

i use it two times per week and i spot feed some of the lps corals. so far i love the stuff

I spot feed everything no matter what kind of coral it is. So far everything is doing very well

I have never been able to get the consistency right for spot feeding, so I broadcast 1x/wk in my 10 g nuvo. Mostly Zoa, zenia, frogspawn, and acan. No parameter problems yet with bi-weekly 30% w/c.
Those of you who spot feed, can you describe how you do it? I've tried with a plastic syringe in order to just hit the acans and rfa, but it is either too thick to push out, or so thin it basically broadcasts.

Turn the flow off for 20 minutes and target feed twice weekly. Many of the corals get into a feeding mode as soon as I turn the flow off. They seem to know what’s coming when the flow stops.

When I do it I use an old pipet from a used up test kit and just suck some up then target feed. To mix it I use a shot glass and put about half a teaspoon or more of the reef roils in dry then use the pipet to add water drop by drop (and mixing) until I get a slurry slightly more watery than toothpaste.

If you decide to use it in a targeted manner, then it doesn't matter what you serve. I turn off the current and make a cloud five centimeters above the coral, which slowly descends. Do not pressurize corals.

I target fed for a while with it and then tried broadcast 1/2 tsp per 50g. I now mix it into my 3 day feast I make from everything frozen/supplements/roids. Now the tank gets 1/2 tsp per 50gallons per 3 days. I have had really good reaction to this final method. My tank is 75% LPS 25%SPS.

Broadcast daily in my 40 gallon reef

Make sure to check your phosphates and nitrates when you start feeding

Me- 2-3x per week
