Well.... I am sure just about everyone knows what this tank was and it was absolutely stunning. SPSPirate created a magnificent reef and I have some big shoes to fill with being the owner of it now. I did not acquire this tank from him but he recently downsized and I was wanting to pull the trigger when he had it posted up on the local Richmond forum but I just didn't and it sold. The new owner of this beautiful tank has decided to now downgrade and well the rest is history!

I pick up the tank Saturday but here's a start to what I hope can come close to what he created.

Not much has changed with it since so here's the info:

Tank: Reef Savvy 150 (48x36x20) full glass rimless peninsula style tank with 24" ghost overflow.
Sump: Aquabox custom 30x20x14
Stand: SPSPirate custom built
Skimmer: ATB 1050a
Return: Ecotech Vectra L1
Flow: MP60WES and MP40WQD
Light: Reefbrite 36" halide hybrid 2x250watt radium with 2 Reefbrite led strips
Controller: Reefkeeper but may upgrade to apex down the road.

More to come Saturday!

I followed Andy's build on this one and glad it is coming back to life. And you didn't even have to wait to get a Reef Savvy tank! :-) It was an awesome set-up. Following ...

Thank you! I am not quite sure how people can wait around for 6 months to get one of these tanks. I will have only waited about a week to get this one and I am about to go crazy from the wait. It has literally seemed like 6 months. I am glad that I was able to get the joist up under the house, I would love to redo the floor in the room and a few other things but a week doesn't give me much time to do it all.

So you're the lucky one to get that tank!!! Congrats and best of luck setting it all up!
Thanks for the kind words! I am the second lucky one, hate that the owner after Andy couldn't enjoy it like he thought, but glad I am the one that gets to now.

I wish the wait time was only six months. It is currently over one year and I am 12 month in currently. It really isn't as bad as you might think though. It gives you time to plan and accumulate the equipment that you want to use, over time.

Oh I was unaware of that I use to hear 6 months but they are in very high demand so it doesn't surprise me. Yeah luckily I found some good deals on things that I wanted to use fast and the previous owner has some nice equipment as well that I am getting. I really just wish I could tile the floor of the room it is going into but hope to be moving in the next year so the next house I will make sure has the perfect spot for the tank.

Just noticed on my computer pictures didn't come out the best. I will update with some better ones tonight
