I'm sure this has been discussed before but I have some sticky adhesive leftover from packing tape that was used on a new skimmer. Anybody have suggestions on what to use? I've used a baking soda slurry on PVC before but it is pretty abrasive so I was hoping not to scratch this thing up. It's pretty stuck on so I want to remove all residue.

For anyone wondering I tried olive oil, vodka, and isopropyl alcohol. I think olive oil worked well at first but isopropyl alcohol really worked the best. Also make sure to give it a good rinse afterward.

I would think commercial citrus oil based cleaners could be fairly safe. I had one once that had some kind of environmental award stamp on it.
