Reef Safe Detergent?

I was curious if this detergent would be safe to wash filter socks with and clean other working parts in our aquarium's. For eight years I have always used vinegar, but after reading the contents what would be wrong with this product? It is made by the Honest Company and called "honest oxy boost"

That's a good question. I don't know maybe Randy does? I wonder if borax would be okay too?

I use bleach for filter socks and wash them in washing machine. I soak mine until I get to my last ones then just run a cycle in machine

I think as long as you rinse it, that posted cleaner should be OK.

Thank you. I used this product last night and so far so good. I have to wash 22 socks a week and think I have a detergent stronger than vinegar.

I don't use any kind of detergent personally. I just run them in the washer with no soap or anything added. My socks always come out clean. I am going to start soaking them in ro/di water until I need them though.

Three 180's, with three four inch socks a piece, changing them about 3 times a week. Mine get clogged with pods and detritus fairly quickly.

I run mine on a steam clean cycle. They always come out like new.

we have never once cleaned a sock. i wonder how much money we could have saved if we were to do so.

maybe ill start doing so. but ill think about it.
