Need some epoxy to afix my magnet to the side of my Tunze 9001 for it to work in my AIO. I used some RTV silicone to temp attach it to make sure it would work. Now I need something to permanently attach it. I have some of the regular 2 part gorilla glue brand that says it's safe for most plastics but not sure if it's okay to use under the waterline.

Thoughts?

Most glues and epoxys are actually reef safe, assuming you can keep them mostly in the place you want them. A popular method for mounting frag plugs to rocks is Gel Super Glue > JB Water Weld > Gel Super Glue. The water weld does take a good bit of time to cure though, so it may not work for you in this case. If you have a question you can always look up the MSDS for your exact brand and post it in the Chemistry forum and I'm sure somebody will help you out. FWIW though the Gel Super Glue I use is Gorilla Glue and no issues.

Yeah I first tried regular super glue and it melted a little of the skimmer body. Nothing major just wiped it off quickly.

I'll just use this 2 part Gorilla Glue.

Ive used a product called Milliput that you can buy at most hobby shops. This is the same type of putty that D/D aquarium supply sells for their 2 part coralline colored epoxy.

Cheers,
Alex
