Is there a paint or an epoxy that is safe to use under water? I'm looking to paint the inside of a refugium white for better light reflection. Not a big deal if it can't be done safely but would be nice. Also it is going to made of fiberglass so would gel coat work? Thanks :)

Krylon Fusion use to be really popular for painting plumbing etc. I'm not sure if I'd trust it on fiberglass to be fully submerged though. If it's not yet made why not just make it out of white material?

I have heard that krylon fusion is a good choice but also read that it can flake off with time. I was going to make it out of fiberglass due to the cost and I know how to work with fiberglass fairly well. I don't think the resin comes in white (it has been a while since I've worked with it) but you can use gel coat to cover the resin which gives fiberglass the color. I'm just not sure if that is safe to use for a reef tank?

I don't know whether there is a suitable paint for this purpose or not. Be sure to not use one that claims to resist corrosion of metal.
Ok, I may just forgo the paint if I do decide to go the fiberglass route. I'm not going to risk it just for the purpose of light reflection. Thanks for the reply :)
