what do the coat onto the probs to make them reef tank safe? in the episode with the mob tank they used a real shoe and coated it with something.

reason i ask is i have a monti cap on a magnetic frag disk on the side of my nanocube.. i want to put it on my back wall.. problem with that is that the magnet would be underwater in the back chamber.

is it worth to coat with something or to let it grow a lil and then super glue it to the wall?

thanks,
Derek

Bump I would like to know as well.

thanks everyone i sent an email to their company so well see for definite lol

It's a potable water safe epoxy coating. They actually make epozy coated magnets that would work so you wouldn't have to risk it DIY...

email or pm scott at the alternative reef he might be able to give you some advice. he has got some amazing magnets that are strong and have a nice shell. his can be underwater as i have 2 frag racks hooked to my overflow i am very pleased with his product
