Reef Safe sure fresheners?

So my mother in law is insisting on using air fresheners due to the smell of the tank. Is there a reef safe alternative. I don’t run carbon in the tank and thinking of adding a media chamber to replace the filter sock holders as a safety measure.

I would start running carbon, it will help with the smell... You don't want to get on the MIL's bad side or you might loose the tank altogether!

Run a reactor with carbon in it. It will remove any smell. Also clean out your skimmer cup regularly. If not it will stink up the whole cabinet.
