Reef Safe Triggerfish

So I know reef safe with caution is the key for these guys. I love the Blue throat and Pink tail Triggerfish. My question is can you do groups of these fish or is it one and only?

The Niger trigger is the only reef safe trigger fish.

I've seen reefs with blue-throats in 'em ... though it didn't work for me. Or my blood, peppermint, sexy or cleaner shrimp . . .

Blue-throats are pretty easy to distinguish by gender - the males have the blue throat and yellow trim on their fins, females have no blue, and fins trimmed in more of a reddish brown. The ladies also tend to be smaller than the males. A pair, introduced together, can work in a large enough tank.

I was wondering if I could introduce a small school of blue throats or Pink Tail Triggers like 3 or 4.

In my personal experience with my current tank inhabitants a blue jaw, sargassum and niger are 100% reef safe, they never look at any kind of coral and they don't bother the snails and hermits although the hermits don't cruise around in the day and my cleaner shrimp only comes out at night.

Don't forget Crosshatch! My experience with Nigers has been them eating small fish, at least eating their fins. Granted they don't generally touch coral.

My Niger does not bother anything although I don't have any shrimp in the tank. Corals snails and hermits are fine .Does like to rearrange. The latest is piling the substrate up in one corner of the tank. The other fish in the tank is a dwarf angel and two oscelaris clowns. So far have not attacked the other fish and they have been together for about two years.
They also need a decent size cave to sleep in.

Blue Throat is my favorite Triggerfish other than Pink Tail. I’m wondering if I could do one of each?

I have a blue throat and she is great. I do not have any shrimp or clams though since my puffer was messing with those. Love her and she is out all the time. My male died after a month or two (I was gone -- dang vacations [surgery in my case]). I plan to get another male soon. This is my only experience with triggers.

I have a red tail trigger and he is a model citizen in my reef tank, he even let's the cleaner shrimp clean him! I have seen him pick off a snail once but that's it.
