Will this seal to a bucket?

Your bucket is likely HDPE. Maybe PP.
Adhesives dont really like HDPE much.
But if youre using it to try to seal that uniseal, its installed wrong if it needs sealant around the outside.
Have you put the uniseal in and tried to install the pipe and test the seal for watertightness yet?

Not sure about HDPE or any PE, but if anything is going to stick, it's going to be this stuff:

You can find this at HD, but not with the other caulks in the paint department. You have to go to where they sell acrylic sheet goods.....for me, in the window/door department. I've been using this in glass sumps with acrylic baffles. It sticks to acrylic like grim death.

Important thing.....let it cure for as long as you can....I like 5 days to a week.
