I recently switched to reef salt. my dt is 60 gallon and sump is 40 gallons. there is approximately 70 to 80 gallons of water volume. I don't have any live rock just a lot of siporax in the sump. my bio load is very low. a few frags of sps, and lps and 10 small fish. my nitrates are barely detectable however, I have been battling phosphates. I am using a lot of gfo atm to help keep no4 at reasonable levels. I have not started using np pro or pro bios yet. I am battling no4 hard at the moment and think the use of pro bio s and np pro might help with my no4 problem. my concern for using them is that they will bring my nitrates to low. any advise appreciated.

I have a 60 cube and was having the same issue. I love np pro and pro bio s, amazing results. I only do one drop of each for the same reason you are worried. Things are looking great. I wish I would have done it sooner...

my nitrate is undetectable, Po4 is more of a concern than Nitrate
I don't see No3 and use Phosphate Minus and Carbon in a reactor changing every 3 weeks

I feed very heavily 6 to 8 cubes of frozen with lots of fish 260 gallon display
14 drops of NP Pro and Pro Bio S daily
about 100 lbs rock and 30 Ltrs of Siporax in the sump

low nutrients are no problem its more like the ocean, but you need to feed corals when ULNS, the Pro Bio S and NP Pro promotes bacterio plankton which feeds corals
I use AF Amino ,Build, Energy and Vitality all at half dose 7 drops alternate days or I see blooms on the sand

thanks for the feed back. I just ordered some and look forward to using. hopefully this will help with my po4 issues

how long did it take for the products to kick in and start working ?

Give it at least 2 weeks to colonise, multiply and work. You will notice the effect on your system. But dont change too many things altogether.
