From my understand Reef Saver rock is completely free of dead matter and doesn't need to be cured.
But will let others chime in here!:)

i would at least put the rock in a bucket or tub with saltwater for a couple days to a week and test parameters. the week will be worth the wait if you discover its leaking something you dont want in your DT

BTW ...

I use reef saver on all of my tanks. I spray it really good with a water hose then dunk it in a bucket of RO water and in the tank it goes. I've done that on at least my last 4 tanks.

I just got some reef saver rock does it need to be cured? Im new to this
Yes. Cure it. BRS even changed their stance on not curing. In the last year, if you read the questions on the site, they now suggest curing. I would too. I have the BRS reef saver rock and its full of silicates.

Just rinse (optional but helps) it off first and you are good to go!

How long should I cure it for?

How long should I cure it for?
2 months no light. Should start getting nice purple coralline, by then. If you rush it like I did, you'll be battling diatoms for months. Im on my eighth month and finally diatoms are going away.
