I'm looking for snails that graze algae and would natural occur in a reef ecosystem. If they breed in captivity that is a +! I've been doing research and most of the astrea etc snails don't naturally occur in reefs and when they fall they can't right themselves. I've had astrea, trochus, cerith, margarita, and turbos and I'm just not satisfied with them. If they fall and I don't right them they are likely to die. I've read about Columbellid sp. snails also called dove snails but I can't find any. They have flatter shells, graze, and will reproduce in a tank. Anyone know of any snails like what I want and where to buy them? Thanks!
