Reef Spec Carbon and Purigen

Is it safe to use these together or can they strip the water too quickly? Or would it be best to alternate them bi monthly?

I think it OK to use GAC and Purigen. While many organics will bind to both, some may only bind to one of the other (and some not to either).

I dropped it in after my water change today, what's the worst that can happen?......wait don't answer that lol
Thanks for the reassurance @Randy Holmes-Farley . I didn't think anything bad would happen but just wanted to double check as I've never used Purigen before.
