Reef Sump

Does anyone have any recommendations for a sump setup? I have a 40 gallon tank.

My setup
1. Drain from display tank with carbon/gfo reactor
2. Refugium
3. Skimmer
4. Return to tank

My plan is, tank to filter sock chamber, large middle section for skimmer. This section ill eventually divide for refugium section later by adding a baffle. Then return section.

I'll be using a 20L for my 40b, I'm considering a figi cube baffle set from BRS or a custom set from jaxracks.

Basically. I'll be starting with my 40b plumbed to an empty sump except for filter socks, heaters, and return pump and add equipment/algae as needed.

That’s a great setup idea you got going. Might have to consider doing something along those lines.
