I just discovered this gem over the weekend in Ohio. He grows his own corals and is a wealth of information. I'm from West Virginia and it was worth the drive and will go back!

Them guys are great. Todd is a genius when it comes to growing sps. That is my local LFS and I go there often, sometimes just to ask questions.

You're lucky to be so close. I was totally fascinated. I could talk with them for hours. Have you seen the 900 gal display tank since he stocked it? He just did Christmas Eve.

todd has helped me a bunch. you are right, this is a real asset for those of us around here.

Yeah I saw it Sunday. The fish and rock have always been in it just no coral. That all came out of his tank in his house. You should see the set up in his house. His sump is in the basement and his tank upstairs. He has it rigged up so he can just turn 4 valves and do a 20 gal water change in 2 min while standing still. It's awesome. Most people would flip also if they knew what his tanks parameters are.

Whatever they are it works. He convinced me to try the Salifert test kits instead of my Hannah checkers and sure enough my ca Hannah was way different, the alk was the same. He also said I needed to go with a product like b-ionic cal and alk instead of the stuff I was using. Also said to raise my alk from 9 to 11 or 12 and use a doser.

I have my tank set up just like his. He told you the same thing lol I get everything from him so now I have a bubble Magnus doser and dose bionic lol salinity 1.022-1.023 alk 11-12 cal420. Everything I read on here says it shouldn't work but it does so I go with it.

My Bubble Magnus doser was ordered Sunday lol. I was keeping salinity at 1.025 but am adjusting to 1.023 too. Slowly raising my alk too like you.

Do you add any supplements? Iodine? He said I really didn't need to with my doing weekly 16 gal water changes on my 90 mixed reef.

I bought one of his claims and so hope it does good.

His clams are amazing. Prior to my tank being intentionally poisoned I had 7 clams from him. All have done amazing. What type did you buy?

I have one of his maxima clams. it is doing well. I also have a monti cap, and monti digi from todd, and he is also the one I got my purple gorgonian from. I was struggling a lot and he had me redo things. he doesn't like a sand bed though. that is the one area I don't really do what he says. I like my shallow sand bed.

It certainly would. I'm in there every day they're open for at least 30 mins. I need service hours for school so I plan on volunteering outside of football this summer.

I get to stop by almost ever day haha. They're closed Monday and Tuesday but I'm there every other day. They're close tommrow but I'll be there Thursday. I'll tell him. Do you have an email you'd want me to give him? He may be able to arrange something for your club.
