I confess that I irrationally subscribe to some old and outdated “must do’s” in this hobby (like amount of live rock per gallon). I still believe some of those “rules” have value, but I recognize that there are multiple paths to success now.

I suppose the “irrational” part is that I believe in certain things and completely dismiss others... for no real reason.

I confess that I glued a hundred dollar mushroom upside down because I was too tired to pay attention after a day of rehab due to flooding my house making RO water.

I introduced GHA to my 110g display tank ON PURPOSE. I had a nice thick patch in QT and loved the way it swayed in the current. Didn’t realize it would spread in clumps of dust trapping nastiness. That was a year ago. I’m still dealing w it despite 2 rounds of complete rock removal, manual scrubbing, and keeping rocks in blackout tank for 2 mths. It’s back. It’ll always come back. I’m doomed

I though I had a leak in the sump or maybe it did. I didn’t do my research, I used the wrong silicone and lost over 90% of my corals ans few fish
