Hi, I’m thinking of moving to Arizona. What is the usual electricity cost running a mid size reef tank during the summer?

Don't Know I have solar.... I know I just received a check from APS for 150 dollars... I didn't have a bill last year....They paid me to make electricity.

My bill went up $30 during the winter and $50 during the summer. AC in summer raises rates allot.

I don’t use a chiller. The home AC is kept at 78 during the day and 73 at night in the summer. During the winter the heat is kept at 68. The tank heaters and tank temp is kept at 78.6

It's not too bad here. I've roughly calculated my costs before for a 270g tank. Adding some margin for increased AC usage, it's about $1.50 a day during summer peak rates with SRP. APS should be very similar.

Too many factors to really answer that - the size, age, insulation, and efficiency of the HVAC system in/of the home all significantly matter. If home does/does not have a pool also makes a large difference.
Some people pay >$400 in the summer. Some people pay half that.

Winter time bill for me is around 75-80. Highest in summer goes to $320. My home is 13yrs old and so is the insulation and so is the AC unit.

Our total aps bill this past year was average around $600/month during the summer and about $200/month in the winter. Significantly higher than previous year for some reason. This is for a 2 story ~3500sf home (insulation of home considered med/low in efficiency and AC units over 15 yrs old) Consist of 18' ceilings and a fairly sized pool. Only 2 people resides, but the high ceiling and extra AC unit in the summer is a killer on our bill...

*our highest bill in the summer was $904 when we had guests stayed over and we blasted the AC.

A rough monthly electricity estimate for our ~500gal system is about $80-100/month. 8 AI LED fixture with lights ramping up at 5pm and fully peak after 8pm (off-peak hours for lower rates), 114watt UV (24/7), Vectra return at 80%.

Rates (per kWh) slightly lower in the winter compared to summer, but I do run our lights 2-4hrs more during the winter, so that possibly balances out in cost. Also the use of heaters (to maintain 78-79 degrees) in the winter and the extra AC we run to keep the tank cool (80-81 degrees) in the summer. no chiller needed, just fans over my sump

I wouldnt say high, but we moved to a bigger home (3500sf) with ~18' high ceilings , so most of the cost is going towards cooling non usable space . we keep the house between 76-79 degrees during the summer months.

If you do move here try to find a house with spray foam insulation or make sure that is an option in a new build. It makes a huge difference in the electricty bill in my experience.
