So i had a 90g in my CONDO before. Due to the decision we were going to move, I took it down. Well looks like things changed and we wont be moving for a while. I want to setup a 120g now in my dining room. We are going to replace the carpets my concerns is should i go with until and whats the best option. Second concern is Im on the third floor of what i believe to be a concrete floor condominium. Will weight be a issue? I dont know what this type of flooring or structure is called? I have attached pictures of the ceiling from a lower unit so You can get the idea. Is there any way to prevent a catastrophe ?

If this is a concrete structure don't worry, just get additional insurance if this thing burst for your downfloor neighbors.
If this is a rental condo go over the idea/plan with your managements office or landlord.

I discussed it they stated they cant deny or approve but i will be 100% responsible for damage. They also had a concern with the weight but i think thats just a way to get me nervous my HOA are a nightmare. I should mention we have a huge jacuzzi in my bathroom that im sure hold more than 120g. So i dont understand the weight arguement

That jacuzzi might have extra structure into the floor as that was part of the original plans in a bathroom.

So you had a 90 with no problems, why would 120 be a problem? Was the 90 in the same spot you want to put the 120?

You already got approval, as in they can't say no. Just set it up and go with it.

Each gallon of water weighs 8 lbs.
The weight of glass and people around the tank would be additional.
Keep all these factors in mind while planning.
