Reef Tank Lighting

hi, i have recently started my nano reef tank, I have bought a cheap light just while I'm finding my way.
Currently I am using the Aqua One Minitouch light, but i have begun doubting it helps with coral growth, does anyone know how effective this light is for my situation?

That light is insufficient for Reef tank lighting, you will need approximately 4-8 watts per gallon depending on what you are trying to keep and the type of lighting that your using.
