Hello, everyone! I just set up a 44 gallon reef tank. It is just water, sand, filter and wave maker so far. It’s a base. Please give me ideas on what to put it in it. Also I really appreciate suggestions on the tank it’s self.
Still working on wires etc.

Welcome to the salty world!

I would say get your rock work sorted and start cycling as that will take a bit of time. After you get your rock work put into place, then you can decide on placement for your wave makers to try and remove dead spots in circulation - you might have to get a second for better flow.

I always add a background on the back of my tank to hide the wires :)

Good luck!

Get some rock! And then make sure that when you’re ripping off the tank when the water evaporates you use Distilled Water or RODI water. As the saltwater evaporates the salt stays in.

Thank you! Live rock this weekend! I like the background idea but i will have live rock prob block the wires. Should I get a second wave maker?

I use a back background on the outside as it makes my coral pop under blues.

Likely you'll need a second wave maker but that will be dependent on your rock work - if it's higher for example, you'll most probably need one wave maker behind it, one in front.
