Hi guys Iv had my mixed reef set up for around a year , I’m have always run temp at around 24.5 (77.9) am I missing out on growth of corals due to below low ? Thanks

I keep mine a little lower - 77.3 is the set point, of course it fluctuates a little. Everything grows, but not crazy fast. I have practically no algae though.

I run mine at 76.5, it does warm a bit in the summer to 77-78 with fan use. Euphellia, toadstool, montiopora, pocillipora, stylophora, acans, cyphastrea, and zoas all seem to grow. I have had difficulty with favias just disappearing (one from a bryopsis outbreak with an apex fail) and scoly has been temperamentual. 2 blastos seem to be growing but slowly. Hard to tell if the temp would make a difference.

I want slower growth so keep on low end of temp partly for that reason...smaller tank I don't need overcrowding too soon and I'm not in a hurry at all. Also like the lower evaporation and being away from high temp limits. Corals are doing just fine, still growing noticeably.
