So I'm a zookeeper so I love setting up enclosures and aquariums that are naturalistic and educational to show off to the public and my friends. Lately I've been playing around with this idea of a long tank setup so that at one end incorporates a reef wall drop off And reef crest and then transitions through to the back reef lagoon area and then culminates in a surf and beach area with an area of beach above the waterline where I'd incorporate semi aquatic beach crabs or something of the like.
My question is, Has anyone ever seen this done before and if so could you shoot me a link to any pictures or discussions on it?

Sounds awesome! I've seen dropoffs, but not with a transition to a beach zone.

The only dropoff like that i have ever seen is a freshwater turtle tank.

Your description makes me think of a multiple drop, drop-tank. That would be so awesome!

Sounds like an amazing idea. Id be interested in seeing that for sure.

Josh, I've seen this turtle thing be for and though interesting it isn't qhuite what I was looking for, thank you though, and I've seen the drop off 90 gallon tanks and it would be cool to incorporate that style tank but with a longer horizontal section up top to allow for the lagoon and beach section
