Well there is good news and bad news!

The bad news is that R2R will be shutting down TEMPORARILY for about 12-15 hours. The good news is that we are upgrading our software and it's going to be so much better for the community! Along with that we will be able to develop some new tools we have been wanting to implement but haven't because we knew we were going to be making this software change.

So when is the downtime?

This Sunday May 17th @9am (EDT)

Once we are up and back online we will be working to fix bugs and tweak things. The important thing is not to get aggravated about things but to help us find and list issues so they can be fixed. I will start a BUG LISTS thread once we open back up!

Yes 12-15 hours is actually pretty good for a forum this size.

We have made every effort to make sure it is closed the shortest amount of time as possible. We actually have the forum running on our new software now and have been testing for months. You just haven't been able to see it.

Will all the posts prior to the upgrade still be here. Will they be in an Archive section. Is it a reset or just a format change??

Every post will be as it is the second we go off line.

Well I guess the only thing to do now on Sunday is to visit my LFS and buy some more corals while waiting for R2R to come back online, it's the least I can do. :xd:

Rev...Shouldn't you be in church on Sunday? Just saying....

Looking forward to the improvements and hoping and praying for a smooth transition. I know from experience that these kinds of moves on this kind of scale can sometimes be problematic. Good luck to you and the super geeks getting it done. And thanks for the improvements to an already rock'n site.
