She actually likes the tank. But not the clutter of supplies that I always leave out [emoji3]

Ha. You sir.. are a lucky man!

Hey Josh! Yes of course...gotta have at least one magnifica and Gigantea! I see you still have that rare beauty mounted nicely on that peak!

How's Justin been?

Haha good answer! Looking forward to seeing what beautiful specimens you put in your new build.

Yep, it got reinfected from bad food but got through QT the second time like nothing happened, was really nice having it bounce back so quickly. Hopefully that'll be the last time and I'll have it for as long as I keep a reef. :)

Is that a t-shirt? I want it LOL.

Yeah, I get tired of treating. Just keep the water stable and you'll be good. Don't skip your water changes. Try to do small changes (10%) once a week. Bro, You really need to look into Siporax. It blows Marine Pure away. I really believe this tank will be the most stable tank I've ever owned and i'll be able to keep both expert nems and SPS much easier than ever before.

Search this on google:
AAC - Siporax is back - I kid you not!

Btw...You want the 25mm and I'm doing about 50 Liters to a 155/G total volume.

Walt Smith 2.1 rock I stole for $2/#.

Getting rid of my brute cans. Gonna replace with 2x 40 breeders for FW and NSW mixing station. They'll be stacked on this rack I bought from Lowe's. Fit like a glove.

Just to give you an idea of what will be going on behind the Display. I'm changing the order on this slightly due to gravity feed reasons, but it will be similar. The racks will have 2x 40/b for FW and NSW mixing station, 20/L for DSB with Macro algae, and 40/B for Siporax pound.

#SiporaxPond Crates BTW... this stuff is better than Marine Pure.

The pond will look like this, but remote.

My cheap under $300 value fixture. Don't worry I'm running KZ and ATI bulbs in this fixture... Plus ATI Powermodule soon! Had to sell my other powermodule.

Here's a 24" I ran on a smaller frag tank with all ATI bulbs. I really got some decent growth for very minimal price.

Like I said...I'll be going back to ATI PowerModule soon as I get the money.

Stand is about finished. Just a few more coats of paint. Has 110 degree soft close hinges from Rockler.com

I've been switching over to matrix from the marinpure blocks and I've had to throw way more food into my tank than I would like to, but that's a good thing. I think I feed around 5 times a day and I broadcast feed acropower for the SPS a few times a week, pretty crazy.

Your build is coming along great, love the stand. :D

Looking good, can't wait to see it wet!

Really...Wow! Matrix is good, but not as good. wink wink. I'm not sure if matrix has denitrification capabilities.

Thanks....I like the stand. If I could get the paint to look decent I'd be happy. It looks blotchy.

Reefaholic, why do you like Siporax better than Marinepure?

Couple reasons...Mainly because I believe that Siporax has better denitrification ability and more usable surface area. Not total surface area, but USABLE surface area. Big difference!

Below is a response from Paul at AAC:

Useable surface area mind is an important consideration. Most forget the importance and understanding of having the hole (Siporax). Marine pure has a greater total surface area for sure, we sell that too just for clarification, AAC isn't a share holder of Sera and we are looking into other medias as we speak that may bring something very new to this market, but in our working environment on test, we are more than satisfied with the results Siporax brings, not for everyone, but for most. The 'competition' between 'what has a greater surface area and what doesn't' is irrelevant in what we are trying to achieve, a system based around a relatively non flow impeding biological system. Bricks / balls /hula hoops - all have the same capability, but it has been said before, most denitrifing fauna live in a thin film usually just below our oxygen loving friends. A 10 foot thick block in my opinion wouldn't bring anything better to the party than an 8x4 block. I'm pretty sure an average piece of Fiji liverock will have the most action taking place on the surface and just within the stucture, just the same as a sand bed.
All the best,
Paul

Somebody has got skills! HA! Nice job!

Thanks Rev!

How is your tank coming along?!?! Amazing build you have going!

Thanks man! Plan was to have water this week but it's going to be next!
