Hey everyone

So this is the thread I'll be uploading all my photos I want to showoff. Hope you guys like them.

I might not remember the name of some of the corals I have but I'll try my best in naming them

My Fluval 13.5 gallon

  • Eheim 1000 pump w/ VCA Random Flow Generator

I think this is a blastimusa. I can't remember the name of it. I think boogie nights?

These are just 4 or 5 of my coral. I'll slowly post more.

I got my replacement Avast Marine long port hole so I'm gonna try that out tomorrow in the tank. So far I've only used it for the Hollywood stunner and I didn't focus properly so it came out a bit blurry.

Still trying to figure out white balance and how to properly color correct these types of photos. This is definitely a work in progress lol

EDIT: Wow these got compressed a lot in terms of quality once uploaded. The tank shot looks blurry but the actual image is sharp as a tack :(

Great shots! Really like the cloves and blasto shots. I have been thinking about getting the porthole. Did you get the blue filter? I generally shoot with no filter at 10K for my white balance.

Yeah I got a blue filter with it. I also have a Tiffen Orange filter for my macro lens that I used for the above shots.

I'll try out that 10k temp and see how it works.

The porthole gets the job done but like I said in my thread about it the plastic is kind of weak so it can crack very easily if you apply a little too much pressure when tightening it down.

I'm waiting for this porthole to come in stock and I'll be buying it.

The one thing about the avast marine one that the BAO doesn't have is that I'm able to turn the avast porthole to focus on my subject in tank. I dont think you can do that with the BAO porthole. The BAO porthole uses the thread where your tripod plate would go. With the avast all you do is tighten it around your focus ring (or zoom ring if you want to zoom in on something) and manually focus. It's very useful for macro photography.

The Blasto shot came off great!!

Great shots!
I like that images look really sharp.
Hopefully, your hammer will open up more, so you can get an even better shot.
