Getting ready to start a JBJ 45 got a Reefbreeder 16 and looking around on forums I'm concerned that I will not be able to grow SPS. Considering getting a MH set up this is what I use to use. Just wondering if people have had good luck with these light. Took a break from the hobby for a while so still catching up with the LEDs

I have heard of Reefbreeders growing sps. I have no personal experience with them, but I believe they are decent fixtures.

Not familiar with JBJ 45, but have to believe it's a 45 gallon tank. If so, the Reefbreeder 16 is just right for that tank. You'll be able to grow everything.

That's good to know. I was thinking of adding T-5 but think it would take away from the rimless look. Plus I don't know how I would attach them.

I have 2-16" value fixtures as well as a photon 48 on a 240g. No doubt they will grow coral. However, I wouldn't put optics on the LEDs, and I would start at 40% and work your way up from there. These lights are deceivingly powerful. It took me a while to figure them out, but once you get them dialed in they really rock. Don't be afraid to swap out some Royal Blue LEDs for some other NMs, such as 415nm and 430nm... Good luck!
