Purchased 2 Reefbreeders RPMs last weekend and finally got them in the tank two nights ago. They are plenty powerful, All functions work as described and super easy to sync and use. Obtained these after trading in two rossmonts and a waveMaker for several issues and now couldn’t be happier. They get a 9/10 from me, only reason not perfect 10 would be one of them have a light whine ( like the buzz of the ballast on a cars HID headlights if you have ever heard that before).

All that being said i need recommendations on the settings and placement from someone who has them with some success in a mixed reef. Can’t seem to find a good placement that keeps all my corals happies. Especially my Duncan’s. Photo attached. Open to moving corals as well if needed.

I have one in my 40g cube. I placed it up high on one side toward the front. But my rockscape is very tall at the back of the tank so that's were it fit best. Flow was an issue for both my duncan and frogspawn but in time, over a couple of weeks, they got use to it.

What settings are you using?

To be honest, I don't know. I'll check it when I get home and let you know.

I've dealt with Logan at RB more than a few times and he has always been more than fair with me. I have Photon leds and a Coral Box skimmer from him.

Anybody with generic placement advice. Even on the softest setting it wants to tear the flesh off my corals

Bought a couple when they first came out. Nice pumps. I did have one controller fail (which Logan replaced quickly). One of the pumps squeals occasionally. I like the low profile - otherwise they're pretty standard stuff.

So should I try to place both on the back of the glass or maybe behind a rock structure? As shown their currently opposing each other on the anti-sync wave. Lowerst flow. And that’s the only feature I can use that doesn’t rip my corals flesh off @reefbreeder
