Have been running my lights now for almost a year and a half. 180g 6' x 2' x 2' mixed reef. 2 36" at 12 inches above water line. I am thinking they need to be lowered to about 8? Progressively updating the schedule every month or so. I am looking at getting into sticks and want to see what others are running schedules at.

@danieyella ,still have a record for these ?
I am thinking I just need to lengthen the exposure time overall 4hrs peak at 80% may not be long enough. Esp with the light so high above the water.

I like the brs reccomended settings. Just enough whites with blues and the rest of the spectrum. I do run actinic t5 during peak hours since it seems it's all the v2+ seems to be lacking:D
I run a 24" over a 48" long tank at 18" off the top of water. Floor sits around 120 dead center under the lamp. I need the shade for less light happy shrooms on the perimeter

Luckily I still have the app on my phone even though the light is in storage... I maxed mine at 60 but it ran from 730am-830pm and peak times when it was higher (it wavered up and down a little in the times) was about 5 hours.

My schedule......About every 6 weeks they were on a UPS truck heading back to Connecticut to have the ballasts replace. Never again!

I’m a fan of all colors at equal percentages. Rather than specific numbers, since tank dimensions and rock work will vary, I like all channels equal for 8 hours a day, set to reach 400-450 par max on rock tops. A blue ramp up and ramp down for an hour or two on each side is fine. I like a full spectrum tank though. I don’t care for the deep heavy blue look. I’ve been using reef breeders photon panels for about 3 years now. Presently run two photon 50 v2+ units on my 150 gallon. 12” high. Along with 3 kessil a360x units

We're sorry to hear about your experience with your Photon V1s. To add some context, the quoted reply is referring to V1 lights purchased in 2014. While we did conduct repairs a few times, most repairs were about 12 months apart, so this is an exaggeration. Many of our V1 customers have lights up and running 10 years onwards with no repairs, so this is certainly not typical. The vast majority of driver issues tend to stem from lack of maintenance- ie salt and dust buildup.

In addition, the V2 platform released in 2016 doesn't share a single part with that model.

I have a two V2 units over two tanks one 24 and one 32. I've only been running them for several months and both tanks stick heavy but frags. I'm seeing what to me is good growth but am new to sticks so I have nothing to compare to. The 32 is over a 3ft tank and I also have a 24" 4 bulb T5 hybrid sitting on top. I probably don't need the T5s but I had the light here so I figured why not run it? The 24 is over a 2ft tank. Both lights are 11" off the water and running the same schedule as follows from noon till 7pm
Green 0%
Red 0%
Royal blue 65%
White 5%
Cool blue 65%
Violet 65%
