Here is the reefbrite xho 50/50 spectrum chart. This looks like they have the blue peak right at 450 which I think should do very well.

It has me wondering if you could light a whole reef tank with reefbrite xho 50/50 and their xho actinac blue alternating every other. Say 2-3 of each type. Something like this A/50/A/50/A with each of them running the full tank length.
Edit sorry here is there actinac chart

None knows if those 2 together provide enough spectrum range?

chats show the 2 combined would have peaks at 440,450,460.. w/ little in any other color . Well suppose more correctly is blue would overwhelm any color..

Combined:

Pretty "full" to a ati blue plus bulb w/out the green, amber spike and the 400nm one..
also not as "full" in the 480-50nm range .

Sorry for necroing this thread... It's the only one I've been able to find discussing the 50/50 XHO spectrum specifically.

I'm considering lighting my 48"x24"x16" SPS dominant reef with 2 x 50/50 XHO bars + 2 x Kessil A500X...

Originally was going to go with XHO actinic supplementation, but am leaning towards the 50/50 as it would provide (what I see as) a better spectrum for the blanket light (and understanding coverage limitations of the point-source Kessils.)...

Also considering spectrum performance of the 50/50 vs standard 4 bulb t5 supplementation of the Kessils.

Thoughts on the XHO vs t5 combo for supplementation? (Would be 2 x XHO 50/50 or 4 x t5).
