Reefbrites/Royal Blue LED effect on SPS coloration question

Please chime in if you know or have input on this. I’m wondering if the color effect of reefbrites or similar LED’s is actual or apparent? In other words, do the color pigments you see with them increase as a result of them or do they only appear that way when illuminated by the Royal Blue leds. I ask because I have a nice colony of WD and SC-OP as well as other really beautiful tenuis that obviously appear more colorful under a reefbrite tech I just purchased. I have read snippets of info mentioning that sps grow toward the reefbrite fixture. So...will sps also improve the density of their more colorful pigments or is it always only going to look better while the RB LEDs are on. My WD has some of the beautiful colors you sometimes see but not all, can I expect the pinks and purples to come in more when grown under a reefbrite fixture? My SC OP has more orange than I’ve ever seen in pics so I’m pretty sure my T5’s are doing a good job with coloration. Sorry this got longer than I wanted but hopefully some of you will have some input on this.

My Reefbrite do add the extra blue so that our eyes to see the fluorescents that we look for in the corals now days.

So there is no benefit to the coral and the use of royal blue led is strictly for our viewing pleasure?

Haha! Something about those reefbrites man. I love mine, and regardless of what primary source of light im using, i would always continue to add a reefbrite strip. Now about the growth and color, let me share my experience. My current fixture is an ati dimmable with a reef brite tech. Ive ran the dimmable standalone for a few months, after adding the reef brite, barely anything "changed" except a few acans lost some color. My sps colors never changed at the time, but its ben over 10 months now. I believe it helps with the growth, because stuff just happened to look better + some pieces actually started growing after adding the reefbrite. I also have a powermodule with 2 vho reefbrites that i used to run (also a backup fixture) and it worked great, but is best suitable for a bigger tank due to how insanely powerfull it actually is.

Anyway, post up some photos! I have both pieces also under t5-reefbrite and they look great! would love to share

The WD is in a tough spot to get pics. You can see the blue and green but barely any pink or purple. It's high up under a 6x24 Ati power module. Just added a reefbrite tech 24". Wonder if the par just isn't enough but the OP is killing it so my feeling is it's ok where it is.

Would you look at that, amazing! How long have you had the wd for?

My wd is all pink, hasnt had a speck of blue up untill about 3 weeks ago. Fyi this photo is about 2 months old, under t5s and reefbrite

My WD is about a year old, started from a 3/8" nub. The OP is a year and a half or so.
Under daylights there is a nice pink hue but nothing obvious. Hoping the reefbrite would help which is why I asked the question.
