Reefcleaners Dry Rock

Any experience? Please do share the good/bad.
I am also curious about this. I believe I read it was presoaked so no need to soak it before adding to a tank because it won’t leak anything but I am unsure and hesitant.
I was thinking about ordering some, aquascaping and glueing dry then soaking in saltwater bucket with some rock from my sump if I can’t just add it right to a cycled tank

Just received 50 pounds from them. Very good experience. Asked for different sizes of rock and they obliged.
I have not cycled the rock yet, so I cannot speak to any issues with leaching.

I have used @reefcleaners rock to start 2 tanks.

It leaches nothing, as it has never had anything on it.

Please visit their website and read about the rock.

I rinse it off to get the dust off from shipment. Then in the tank and cycle.

Some folks like starting up a tank with clean rock, and some don't. There are pro's and con's to each way.

John is also very good at accommodating requested sizes and shapes and has never disappointed.

Same with their CUC's...………..top notch and no disappointments.

Rock is prefectly good Base rock which IME of 40 pounds was several medium size rocks but mostly lacking interesting shapes/features. Easily fixed by taking a hammer to a few pieces then cementing it back together into something more unique.

Side by side with marco rock I couldn't really tell the difference aside from the more unique shapes received with the Marco.

I've used it several times and love it. It's just like Marco and BRS Reef Saver. A simple rinse and you're good to go.

Edit: Just checked his site... his price has gone WAY up and it's on backorder. Used to be about 1.80/lb for a 50lb box and now it's 2.50/lb!

Supply/Demand my friend.

Thanks for the feedback people! Any experiences with leeching?

There is ZERO leaching as it was never live rock.

I had my current 80lbs in a brute for 3 weeks and tested for the heck of it.

0 phosphates and nitrates.

I understand supply and demand, but that increase literally happened sometime in the last 2-3 weeks. Billy Hays has the same rock for 2.29/lb. floridadryrock.com The more you buy the less per pound. 50lbs would be 2.06/lb

I used a few hundred lbs of this rock for my tanks and it has worked out great. No issues with leaching. I just gave the rocks a light rinse to get the dust off.

I ordered 50# from them for my 75G build. Very smooth transaction, rock was clean and nicely shaped. Total weight was about 53#. Oh and very minimal diatoms as well when I cycled the tank.

No leeching, I've done multiple tests for phosphate and ammonia leeching. They are pretty clean and ready to use upon arrival.

So the consensus is I could purchase the rocks, break them and AquaScape, glue them set in water to rinse off and then into the tank with no increase in anything and it won’t harm the tank? I want to start to get rid of my big live rock and move it to the sump whilst creating a new aquascape

Yes, that is doable.
