That's not how group buys with reefcleaners works... Everyone places there own orders. You need to set it up with reefcleaners before you can start. Decide on a delivery date and location...

Would it not be easier for me to just buy everything, because a single person gets free shipping at a lower price than a group buy?

No we have me we been charges shipping for a group buy no matter the $$. Plus, you don't want to rely on people paying, or not paying you back. Plus if you ordered everything, you would have to organize all the livestock when it got to your house as it would all show up in the same bags. Group buy orders come in bags labeled for each individuals purchase.
