I currently have a Reefer 250 and 2 MP40s running in my tank. Tank is a few months old and doing well. It's currently stocked with a CUC and a midas blenny. I'm wondering what should my highest percent be on my MP40s? I plan on keeping mostly LPS and eaier SPS.

Yes, I know it is a lot for that tank, but I purchased them since the glass is 1/2" thick and MP10s are only supposed to go up to 3/8". Currently I have them maxing out at 25% and ramping down to 10%. I

Depends how you run them Sync, anti-sync or solo. I've found running at anti-sync you can get away with going at higher max since they will alter intensity between pumps which reduces turnover but creates more random flow. My tanks 115 gallon has 2 mp40 - During the day usually around 60% (on MP40 closer to middle) 65% (on MP40 closer to surface) on anti-sync between nutrient export, gyre, reef creast mode. At night I have both on independent at 50% each on Reefcreast. The flow is just enough to move some sand but not cause a storm. I've changed my setting many times and found this to be optimal for my SPS aswell as providing alot of flow for few LPS on the sand. The only way you'll know for sure is to test it out and see how your corals respond.

If its strong, turbulent, and indirect gentle flow SPS will be happy.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I'm currently running reef crest during the day and lagoon mode. I've noticed when I tried running nutrient export mode the right side would come undone. I contacted Ecotech and they suggested running a different mode. So, for the past few days it's been reef crest during the day and lagoon mode in the evening, down to 10%
