Reefer 250 Build - Equipment list

Hey there!

Going to be getting back into the hobby and plan on buying a whole new setup during the holiday sale season. Below is the list of equipment I plan on purchasing for my Red Sea Reefer 250 build, please let me know what you think of each item and if you have any recommendations for changes. Going to be running mostly SPS, please also let me know if there are items I am missing!

Tank: Red Sea Reefer 250
Controller: Apex Classic
Lighting: Nanobox quad / 2 x Kessil a160we / 2 x Kessil a360we (undecided on this)
Skimmer: Reef Octopus Classic 150SSS 6"
Powerhead: Vortech MP10WQD (Should I purchase 2?)
Rock: 80lb CaribSea Life Rock
Sand: 80lb CaribSea Special Grade Arag-Alive
Salt: Red Sea Coral Pro
Heater: 2x Eheim Jager 150W (1 for backup)
Reactor: BRS GFO & Carbo reactor
RO/DI: BRS 4 stage
Pump: Syncra Silent 3.0 (714 GPH)
Test Kits: Red Sea
Misc: Flipper Magnetic Cleaner, Refractometer

Yes two MP10wQDs, I would go with a Reef Octopus DC3500 return pump or a Ecotech Vector.

I like Neotherm heaters much more than those. No glass, much more reliable in my experience.

The BRS reactor is a PITA for these setups. Consider an innovative marine midsize reactor.

I've never owned a reefer, but I wanted to stop in and say Welcome to R2R! There are lots of people here that own them and I bet they will be chiming in soon.

I think it sounds great, i own a red sea 450 and yes i think you could get away with 1 mp10, but wise to have another or maybe a cheaper option. Anywho, once you get your build started, please share in the member tanks forum thankyou! Enjoy!
