Dear Reefers,

my name is Michael I am 35 years old and I am from Frankfurt, Germany, so please excuse my language. :)

Currently, I run two feshwater and one saltwater tank. Since this is a saltwater community, I would like to show my Reefer 250 to you guys.

I started the tank in early 2018. Since then I went through up and downs. I changed the scape and hardware many times, etc. Now, I think I have found my perfekt setting and I am very happy how things are working (except for Aiptaisia-Issues).

This is my Hardware:

Reefer 250
AI Hydra 26HD + 4x39w T5 Hyberid (8 Hours daylight, 3 Hours blue light)
2 Vortech MP 40, 1 Vortech MP 10
Jebao DCP 6500 return pump
Clarisea SK3000
Deltec 600i Skimmer

The Tank is operated with Fauna Marin Balling Light and Sangokai Basic. Most of my corals are SPS but I have also some LPS and Soft Corals. In the next future, I will remove the Montiporas on the right side in order to get more space for Acroporas.

Here are some current shots:

Welcome to R2R and great looking tank.

Thank you very much for the warm welcome. I will provide you with updates frequently.

Hello Micheal.
I currently live in Offenbach, near Rumpenheim_/Bürgel. I did live in Bornheim for ten years!
Where do you go for your fish/corals?

Hi!

Tehre are aome places. I got most of the corals online or in the stores of Korallenzucht Karlsruhe, Fauna Marin and White Corals.

Of the local stores I like Reising in Alzenau (my main fish store), Patrick Gast in Haßloch and Korallenkiste in Rosbach.

What is your favourite store? Do you have Tank Thread here?

I have been to Korallenkiste in Rosbach. They normally have very good coral at really good prices!
For fish I normally use Das Seewasserparadies in Stockstadt. Very friendly and helpful people.
I do have a build thread on another forum http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forum/index.php?threads/nobbys-s-650.97362/

Hello Folks,

I rearranged everything a bit in order to get more space for my acroporas. I had to cut some of my starter montiporas but now I am happy.

Right now, all corals are in very good shape and start to grow quickly. I am really curios how it will look when all corals grow bigger.

Greetings and welcome.
Could I please see a picture of your lighting?
"AI Hydra 26HD + 4x39w T5 Hyberid (8 Hours daylight, 3 Hours blue light) "

We have the same tank dimensions and I really like the coloring and brightness you have displayed!
Thank you,
Urt

Welcome. It looks amazing! May I ask what Coral is the third one in the pics above?

Hi Urt,

I run the Hydras from 11am to 10.30pm and the T5 from 12 to 8 pm. The setting for the Hydras is as follows
Screenshot_20190908_203159_com.aquaillumination.prime.jpg

You can see that the white, green and red LED also switch off at around 8pm when the T5s switch off. This leads to a very blue setting in the evening where I took the pictures. The idea for me is that corals look nicer when the light setting is blue but grow faster under daylight conditions.
