Reefer 250 lighting options?

I am going to be running a mixed reef. Definitely will lean more towards sps this time around. I dont want to spend over $1000 for lighting? What are my options?

Ive been looking at the reef breeders photon pro but not sure.

Have also heard of maxspect but dont know too much about them

Will not consider The HDs as many have said this wont be great for sps.

Yes radions or the best but I think I would need two of these over the tank. Not sure. Again this with mounts comes to $1000.

Any suggestions?

Ive heard they will give me the same output as HDs so not sure if this is the route I want to go.

Radions look great on Red Sea setups and are very effective. 2 XR15s would give you plenty of coverage. Look for slightly used lights at fair price.

I have 2 XR30s on my RSR425XL. Here’s a pic with and without 3D printed light shade.

Like @PeterC99 said, take a look at the used market. Best bet is not to buy twice, I’m of the opinion to invest what you can afford into lighting and flow.
