Reefer 250 not quite level

I personally wouldn’t put any tank on Carpeting. I‘d cut an area out Two Feet bigger than the tank. Roll the Carpet up and store it, so if I decided to take the tank down, in the future. A cheap solution would be Coin Pattern Flooring. For DIY bit more Expensive to put Tile down.

I'm looking at the floor and see no caps. The entire floor has a stuck on rubber matt like the one on top of the stand. The sides have the rubber as well about 1/2 inch up.

what is your model number of your tank? should be shown in the top of the overflow box, then we can look on red sea and pull up the instruction manual for your stand

i tried to get the wife to allow this, or just install hard wood and she said no. 4 MONTHS LATER SHE WANTS HARD WOOD!!!

from what I am seeing the redsea 350 floor sadly can not be removed because everything mounts to it. My suggestion is to make sure you have adjustable feet, and adjust the front up each leg half a turn and re check level and leave the back legs alone. But your load weigh changed when you add water since saltwater is aprox 8lbs per gallon.

When I set my last tank up I placed a 3/4" sheet of marine plywood under the stand so the legs will not dig into the carpet.

In looking at the v1 floor I don't see any way it's coming off. It's anchored down via those lock nut things from the inside of the bottom frame. Those directions are sort of confusing but I'm pretty sure there is no easy removal on V1.

my floor on the 350 has 4 turn screws that lock it down like yours does and it pops up, but looking at these instructions your floor is a main structure that the sides and back mount to

You beat me to it! Not sure what to do. I don't even think it had feet but if so there's no way to see them now. I guess empty as much water as possible and try to hammer the shims in more and hope for the best. I can't keep emptying water though if it's not level. I'm not throwing out the sand and starting over. Not a trial and error I can do over and over. Sadly I'll just have to give up if this doesn't work and not do the tank. Maybe Red Sea will say it's within tolerance.

All I can suggest is watch some youtube videos of how others are leveling their redsea 250. Sorry its to different than my 350 to be of more help.

Last resort, I know several people with older style cabinets (no feet) with carpet, that cut out and removed the carpet where the stand is so they could level it. I also know a few that placed 3/4” plywood down under the stand to spread the load and give access to level the stand, by shimming between the stand and the plywood. I know that’s excessive, but just throwing it out there.

No problem, I appreciate the help. I took a better picture of the level...maybe it isn't that bad really?? I mean there has to be some tolerance of it being slightly off since floors settle etc...

Also on YouTube, someone used Wedi Board, that was not attached to the Hardwood Floor. They put low Wedi Curbs on the Wedi Board, tiled it and set the Aquarium on that, for spill protection.

Red Sea just got back to me. They said it's unpredictable with that variance in the level as is and it's too much, so they would recommend to fix it. They said it was typical practice (as did multiple YouTube videos including BRSTV) to level it, fill it, measure the level again fully filled and then if it isn't level, take out 3/4 of the water into a storage container, level it again and fill it again. They said this is a very typical process and not unusual to have to do. I guess lucky for me that the tank has new uncycled water and nothing else in it. Hopefully I can get some shims under the current shims to prop the front up enough. Thanks for everyone's help/input!
