Hello guys
So the need (see picture) was always leaking water, ia it normal? I removed it and connected the pipe directly (see picture)

Is my water level ok in the return pomp compartment? Seems to be low

Evening,

I do not have a RSR , but anytime I hear leak I would say it should not do that, see if anyone tonight can help

I assume when you say the ‘need’ is leaking you are referring to the white air valve that Red Sea use in their ATOs. No, it is not normal for this to leak. You can just replace it with any right angle air line valve.

The purpose of this valve is just to allow you to shut off the water supply to the float valve in the sump, e.g. if you want to take the float valve out to clean it.

From the bottom picture your issue may simply be that you opened the valve up too far and it is leaking from the screw thread. If so just screw it back down until it stops leaking, but is still allowing a flow of water through the ATO line.

Thank you

What I did, I removed the valve, and connected the line from ATO directly to the reservoir, the float in the return will open or close and dose the water.

When I decide to clean / maintenance it, I will pit it back .
